Our beautiful market baskets are from Ghana and are made by Ojoba Collective’s Widow Weaving Cooperative. These are beautiful, high quality baskets which are a perfect alternative to plastic sacks and for carrying your personal belongings. Strong and durable, each basket is hand woven from elephant grass and has a handle wrapped in leather.
For shipping, your basket will be squashed down, and can be brought back to their original shape by immersing them briefly in water and re-shaping them by hand.

Small African Market Basket: 14 – 16″ wide, 6 – 8″ deep.
Large African Market Basket: 8 – 10″ wide, 4 – 6″ deep.
